The Invictus Games are the Paralympic International games which is a multi-sport event founded by Prince Harry.
The games participants are wounded, sick or injured service personnel and their associated veterans who take part in sports including sitting volleyball, wheelchair basketball and indoor volleyball. It was named after Invictus, which is Latin for undefeated or unconquered and the event was inspired by a similar games event called Warrior in the USA.
The first Invictus games was launched in March 2014 at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London.
The second Invictus games was held in 2016 in Orlando, USA.
The next Invictus games is to be held in Toronto, Canada on the 23rd of September 2017. It will have over 1500 volunteers, 550 competitors and 17 nations will take part in12 sports.
In 2018 Sydney will be the host of the Invictus games.
